The Rubens' Tube consists of a 10 cm diameter aluminium tube with row of small holes drilled along the top, and a 15 W loudspeaker mounted at one end, and is supplied with instructions.
Natural gas or LPG can be used, with a length of burner tubing to connect it to the supply.
The speaker can be driven directly using signal generator with power output, but Rubens' Tube Driver (SO180900) is recommended for best effect.
